It is very understandable that we pay less and less interests to the traditional holidays such as the New Year Day, even the Spring Festival since there are so many activities people can participate and enjoy during other times.
You are also that spending the Christmas eve in China doesn't have much fun, especially in small cities. Have you ever have a Xmas Eve in Beijing or Shanghai? They are very different from the one in Hangzhou. All stores in Wang Fu Jing Da Jie are open all night on the Christmas eve day. I was once there. Even at 1:00 at the midnight, there were still thousands of people wandering around.
If you have a chance, you should definitely go to a foreign countries, especially the largest cities in these countries, to feel the Xmas. Christmas seasons in Manhattan of New York City are spectacular. I posted some pictures in English Time, you might want to have a look if you are interested, or I can send them to you through emails if you prefer. |
