今天打开邮箱晕的半死,英国世界动物保护协会隔了两个多月终于发给我了不是自动回复的回复,看来人家真的很忙.信内容如下:底下有翻译
Dear Xu Xu,
Thank you for your email to the WSPA regarding the dogs in Hangzhou .
The WSPA are very aware of the situation.
Animal welfare is a very new concept in China and a lot of work still needs to be done by the WSPA to extend our sphere of influence in this country both in terms of finding new member societies and building relationships with the Chinese government. The WSPA plans to open an office in Beijing which will enable us to build a stronger member society presence and develop further relationships and gain more influence with relevant Chinese authorities.
The WSPA has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Humane Slaughter with the Beijing Chaoyang Anhua Animal Product Safety Research Institute. For more information see http://wspa.org.uk/news.asp?newsID=376 In addition, the WSPA is actively working to open a model farm project with partners in China in order to create a centre of excellence to show case humane sustainable farm animal welfare alternatives to the government and farmers throughout Asia .
Also, the WSPA is planning to support a conference in late 2007 on rabies control and bite prevention for representatives from all provinces in China , in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
We have just opened an office in Hong Kong , but please note this is essentially a fundraising office.
