最近更新文件 AirAsia Renames KLIA2 to LCCT KL
1. What is LCCT KL?
LCCT KL is Asia's new low-cost hub, known to some as KLIA2. It is not to be confused with the old Low-Cost Carrier Terminal on Jalan KLIA S3 in the Southern Support Zone, which ceased operations on 9 May 2014.
2. Why is AirAsia referring to KLIA2 as LCCT KL?
It should be branded as such because it is a low-cost carrier terminal. AirAsia accounts for 97% of operations at the terminal, with the remainder also operated by budget carriers.
3. When will the name change take place?
AirAsia will begin referring to KLIA2 as LCCT KL on AirAsia.com, the mobile app, boarding passes and marketing materials from 27 June 2016.
4. Will there be changes to airport processes such as check-in and baggage drop now that it has become LCCT KL?
No. All airport processes will remain the same.
5. Have public transport operators such as taxis and buses as well as ride-share providers been informed about the change?
AirAsia has briefed public transport operators, ride-share providers and map service providers of the change.
6. How will AirAsia refer to LCCT KL on its website and boarding pass?
The terminal will be referred to as 'Kuala Lumpur (KUL)' on AirAsia.com and 'Kuala Lumpur - LCCT/KLIA2 (KUL)' on the boarding pass.
7. Is LCCT KL only a term used by AirAsia? Do other airlines refer to it as LCCT KL?
LCCT is currently a term advocated by AirAsia. We are confident that, in time, other airlines will come to refer to it by that as well.
8. Are you talking about reopening the old LCCT, which ceased operations on 9 May 2014?
No. LCCT KL refers to the low-cost hub known to some as KLIA2. It is not to be confused with the old Low-Cost Carrier Terminal on Jalan KLIA S3 in the Southern Support Zone.
9. With the change in name from KLIA2 to LCCT KL, will airport tax be reduced from the current one?
Passenger Service Charge (PSC) at LCCT is already lower than at the Main Terminal Building (MTB), reflecting its low-cost nature. Domestic and international PSC are RM6 and RM32 respectively at LCCT, compared to RM32 and RM65 at MTB.
10. Are all the airlines using LCCT KL low-cost carriers?
Yes. |
